The educational electromechanical parking brake (EPB) model, MSEPB1 is based on original Audi/VW brake components and built for easy demonstrations and the principle of operations. The cutaway is made to show how the help of an electric motor, a multi-staged gear mechanism and a spindle drive, convert the command to “actuate the parking brake”, which brings the brake pads in contact with the brake discs.
